This Privacy Policy explains how PinIQ ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects your information when you use the PinIQ iOS application ("the App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

a) Account Information
If you choose to sign in with Apple, we receive a unique identifier and, if you permit, an email address from Apple. You may use the App without creating an account; in this case, your data remains stored locally on your device only.

b) Protocol and Health Data
The App allows you to log the following types of data:

This data is entered voluntarily by you and is used solely to power the pharmacokinetic calculations, charts, and insights within the App.

c) Device and Technical Information
We may collect standard technical data such as device type, operating system version, app version, and crash reports, used only for diagnosing technical issues and improving app stability.

d) Subscription Information
Subscription purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect or store your payment card details. We receive confirmation of subscription status from Apple.

2. How We Use Your Information

3. Data Storage

All health and protocol data you enter is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. We plan to introduce optional cloud backup via Supabase in a future update, which will be clearly disclosed and opt-in. Until that feature is live, your data does not leave your device unless you use the CSV export feature.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for advertising or commercial purposes. We may share data only in the following limited circumstances:

5. Data Retention

Data stored locally on your device persists until you delete the App or clear the App's data manually. If you delete your account (once cloud sync is available), we will delete your data from our servers within 30 days.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email address below.

7. Children's Privacy

PinIQ is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If we become aware that a user is under 18, we will take steps to delete their account and associated data.

8. Push Notifications

The App may request permission to send local push notifications for dose reminders. These notifications are generated and delivered locally on your device and do not require us to store any personal data on our servers. You can disable notifications at any time through your device's Settings.

9. Security

We implement appropriate technical measures to protect your information. Data stored on your device benefits from iOS's built-in security and encryption. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Third-Party Links

The App may contain links to external websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties and encourage you to review their privacy policies.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you within the App. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

12. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, including the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
